Immigration Issues
Yes
a) Do you support a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants?
No
b) Do you support decreasing the number of legal immigrants allowed into the country?
Yes
c) Do you support establishing English as the official national language?
Yes
d) Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration laws by state and local police?
e) Other or expanded principles
My bailiwick, my issue. I've been to remote-rural Mexico many times- the source of most illegals. That country is broken, corrupt, and mostly clueless about capitalism and free markets. Illegals have an opportunity to do something about that. Don't send remittances home- in an act of civil disobedience-defiance. With support of loved ones in Mexico , illegals can shame that wicked government! It might- however reluctantly- begin cracking down on small town corruption, starting with their local law enforcement. Worth a try! Americans-recognizing the sacrifice by ordinary Mexicans- might then be more inclined to grant a "third" one last amnesty.

j) Other or expanded principles
There are so many nuances to this section, I worry my opponent- the guy probably not answering questionnaire- might take liberties with my narrow, "yes" "no" answers. My fears are probably overblown because I doubt his re-election strategy permits even acknowledging his poor- unfunded opponent exists. For anyone else looking this way, please appreciate that the yes's and no's don't allow for something more specific, like, "do you support increasing funding of the already 'extravagant' amount....." Please remember too, nobody has a clue how to get us safely out of Afghanistan and keep us 100% protected in the long run.
Social Issues
No
a) Should marriage only be between one man and one woman?
Yes
b) Do you support allowing openly-gay men and women to serve in the United States military?
Yes
c) Do you support federal funding for embryonic stem cell research?
Yes
d) Should the federal government end affirmative action programs?
e) Other or expanded principles
Four straight-forward question-answers demanding a response from my Congressman (I've already bet the ranch he's too busy). As for funding embryonic stem cell research- I remind religious conservatives that Nancy Reagan is for it. Our Congressman is against it, I've seen the votes. He was for a woman's right to choose back in 94 when he was challenged by liberal Republican- Bill Gormley- in the primary. Once comfortably in office, he flipped and became anti-abortion. But he could still be for stem cells at least, and against abortion! We get what we deserve when we elect these type of politicians.
