May 9 .... wanted desperately; one knowledgeable ECONOMIST, one expert, to check me out. Time is running short! Thinking about my tax plan today after a lonnnnnnnnng hiatus on the issues. That being; eliminating the IRS on bottom 90% of Americans, raising the income tax rate on the top 10% ....the 3% national sales tax everyonewould pay, and part 4, the elimination of corporate taxes. Where am I wrong? It equals economic growth. The middle class pay virtually no tax after providing for necessities, plus a few luxury items here and there (taxed @ 3%). There would be almost no incentive killing taxes on additional labor/income, all the way up till you reach the top ten percent. If you spend wisely you could bank almost all of it. Tonight at work I tried playing the devils advocate and thought of all the rich corporations like Exxon and Apple who'd pay no tax and it occurred to me my plan's GOT IT COVERED and works it's magic beautifully. Or does it? To be continued.....
May 21 ... 2 weeks for folks to ponder what's written above (that few dozen of you who visited the web site) ... that being, how Exxon paying no corporate taxes wouldn't then leave the U.S. treasury much worse off then it already is. It might at first but some of the missing corporate tax receipts, no longer being collected- the profits no longer taxed -WOULD in fact make their way back to the Government through higher Income Taxes on the rich (the top 10%, including the aforementioned Exxon and Apple top executives) who would pay more (including millions of rich investor/shareholders) if my humble plan ever saw daylight. Remember, we at Stein for Congress (I've been saying mostly the same thing for 4 yrs now) are in favor of raising the income taxes on rich (wages AND investment income, taxed same) ........ simultaneously eliminating a bunch of Cabinet Departments (a peace offering to Republicans), adding Single Payer Universal Health Care (Republicans, now on the defensive since we (Dems) consented to the elimination of several Cabinet Departments) ...... in a mishmash plan guaranteed nobody will take the time to digest.
Too damn bad this plan won't get debated, won't get analyzed. I might not make it past the June 5th primary election. I think the ideas would work. Would stocks soar as middle-income Americans bought equity in this new, expanding, more efficient private sector that no longer had a corporate tax liability? How sad. If I don't make it past June 5th, the plan dies. What a pity. See, these same corporations no longer paying corporate taxes, are additionally no longer wasting time unproductively finding tax loopholes, thereby making even higher profits, hiring more workers, etc, etc. June 5th, do or die for me. A plan....having the effect of incentivising middle income America, the backbone of the nation to work harder and pay no additional taxes. The folks (middle income Americans) who in my proposal, UNLIKE THE RICH who'll pay higher taxes, we in the middle (who'll pay no income taxes, just the 3% NST) ... we who in my proposal wouldn't even pay taxes on dividends or stock price appreciation - NONE WHATSOEVER -leading to a robust Bull Market and even more corporate profits that would abracadabra, trickle down to the steeply taxed RICH!
America, I offer 1) streamlined Government 2) a tax proposal that would unleash the private sector 3) a restored the middle class 4) opportunity for the poor to find employment, and lastly .... 5) a top 10% of Americans no better, BUT no worse off than before! Who knew!!!!!!!!!!!

Subject: Press Release
Gary Stein, candidate for Congress, New Jersey's 2nd Congressional district. 1729 Damrstadt Ave, Mullica Township, N.J.
The local Democratic machine gangsters have chosen not to invite me to their convention today even though I'm an announced Democratic candidate for Congress since December 19, 2011. http://www.pressofatlanticcity.com/news/breaking/gary-stein-set-to-challenge-rep-frank-lobiondo-but-he/article_a6e57c72-2aa9-11e1-989a-001871e3ce6c.html As I understand the rules, candidates are nominated; seconded; and voting then takes place by "committee" in private. It's a fate accompli, anyway you look at it; so, instead of crashing the event scheduled for later today, I will be out gathering signatures necessary for filing deadline next week AND discussing this particular independent minded Democrat's agenda. For instance and not limited to, furthering the President's attempts at health care reform* by suggesting Cabinet Departments that could be eliminated in a grand cost savings gesture directed at Republicans; tax simplification and economic growth strategies, i.e., eliminating the income tax on bottom 90% of Americans, increasing the tax rate for upper 10% and instituting a 3% National Sales Tax.
Not to be confused with heartless regressive taxation, that last part of my plan would actually free up the economy, and create economic opportunity for all, including the poor, but especially, hard hit middle class Americans. In fact, there is a huge "doughnut" hole in my plan that would encourage people to work harder and greatly increase their income, if they choose the option to save instead of spend. (Effectively, the lower 90% of income earners, if they are very frugal, can legally choose to not pay any tax at all- on the additional income -over and above the 3% sales tax collected on purchases of absolute life's necessities such as food, clothing and shelter)
Lastly, I will continue to talk and discuss with voters I meet daily, my bold plan to advance immigration reform by "we" giving consideration to the possibility of entering discussions with the Mexican people for the right to add their resource rich, and geographically perfectly situated country (for a multitude of reasons) into our Union as the 51st-57th states. I consider the hard bargain, I'd offer Mexico- which would be designed to be more favorable to us than them - as worthy, or more worthy an idea than Republican crackpot schemes to ban pornography (Rick Santorum); realistically bringing gas prices down to $2.50/gallon (Newt Gingrich); self-deportation of Mexicans (Mitt Romney) and elimination of Medicare in exchange for vouchers (Paul Ryan).
Special note: Stein for Congress 2012; now buying junk cars at prevailing rate. Cash paid, will tow ..... I'm dead serious. Call 609-703-1741
* Obamacare, not to be confused with Single Payer; the better option.

Issue Position: Who is Gary Stein? Democrat 2nd District
By: Gary Stein
Date: Sept. 12, 2010
(9/12/2010 I'm asked for more clarity on this, my 4th web site in
3 years. Who is Gary Stein? Democrat 2nd district)
A fed up-working stiff who's lived in S. Jersey since 1990- who went the extra mile- he got his name on the darn ballot as a major party candidate! Born and raised in Dumont, N.J. with some time spent in Pennsylvania where he (me) met and married his wife Cynthia in 1986.
With that briefest of bio's out of the way .......here's how we send a message to the Washington establishment that we've lost patience with all of them. Either unseat our lying (I'm dead serious), term limit breaking- completely mediocre Congressman- or send him back slightly humbled. Maybe he'll consider retiring after this term- he'll be 66 in 2012. Vote for Stein- please, for your sake and mine- I'm an office cleaner by profession, the symbolism won't go unnoticed in Washington.
I'm for: Reducing the size of Government the only way that will work at this point, by eliminating entire Departments. I'm against cliches, bromides and soporific solutions such as "we need more efficiency in government" which we do of course......... so I'm also for, re-writing the civil service code. Historic grievances civil servants had in the past with racist or corrupt party kingpins, mayors, ward leaders- or just bonehead supervisors, can be taken up as easily nowadays, in the courts- the same recourse the rest of us have- or they can simply just plain quit their job and take one in the private sector.
I'm for Single Payer Health Care, i.e., the takeover of the medical insurance industry by the government. Is that the biggest contradiction you ever heard, given what I just said above about big government? No, not at all. Which big gov't department would I eliminate first, on the way to Single Payer? Who knows!?! Try the Dept of Education, or just throw a dart and hope it doesn't hit Defense, State or Treasury. I'm for, sometimes resorting to ....hyperbole, the when and where, a reporter needs to ask me.
I'm for gay marriage, and immigration amnesty.
I'm for ramping up nuclear power, and I supported George W. Bush's rescue of the banks. I'm dead set against Obamas stimulus spending sprees, but I was, am and always will be for his rescue of GM and Chrysler. As I said above, I supported- I was for- George W. Bush's TARP (Toxic Asset Relief Plan) and my pandering Republican opponent was against it. Thank heaven above, it passed- with bi-partisan support, I might add.
I'm for spending more money to make border secure, and I'm almost ready ( I dream about this in my sleep) to declare war on Mexico's incompetent and corrupt government. And while I'm on the subject; I wish Mexican illegals here in the U.S. would get out front in a boycott- of Mexico- just like I've gotten out front pushing for amnesty for THEM! (The whys and what fores have been expressed by me many times. I only wish the "press" would sit down and do me justice, and discuss in detail)
"The Stein for Congress 2010 campaign is asked many times by different organizations what ideas- I- you're ordinary candidate- one of 870 running for U.S. House of Representatives- has for creating jobs- as if I'm running for President, Treasury Secretary, or maybe Speaker Pelosi's job. I've obliged by contributing the most original idea anybody- running for public office this- or any year could give......
I'm for..... eliminating the underground economy by fazing out cash, and issuing a gov't debit cards in the place of "cash." That's gov't windfall #1. I'm also for... eliminating the Income Tax- for all but the very wealthy; and for eliminating just about every other tax, including state sales taxes, and instituting a regressive national sales tax (an inducement to everybody to move up the economic ladder, and that tax is gov't windfall #2)- BUT not before the Government takes responsibility for the awful mess they've gotten us into and reduces itself by about one third- give or take (see above)....or- I'd be against the brilliant idea- I was just for. Economists, not me, can number crunch what federal sales tax rate is needed to pay for what's left of a streamlined federal and state gov't (the 50 states would get their religion in a hurry too- if I'm elected). Just tell the economists to leave enough left over.....because I'm for paying down the debt by 2020.
That's several ideas you won't see anywhere else, and a very compelling reason to vote- FOR -Gary Stein for Congress.... if we're really are as fed up as we sometimes tell the pollsters we are. Lets do something about it for once. Thank you, Sincerely, Gary Stein.
The Press and concerned citizens everywhere can reach me at..
Welcome to Stein for Congress 2012
Note to Congressman Lobionndo from me. Sir, do yourself a favor, and do ME a favor; don't file for re-election. I will be even more dogged this year then I was in 2010. People will finally notice something going on here. And, you have NextGen technology park's financial troubles, and your involvement with; making you look very, very bad (nothing criminal, just character issues of your own making. Pretending once a gain like you've got another case of amnesia, in this instance, concerning said park). On the other hand, you might have potential troubles concerning an ethic's complaint I filed relating to your 2008 race against Dave Kurkowski, and 2010 race against me. The Office of Congressional Ethics might finally have an answer? Somebody ought to follow up on this.
I do not....repeat.......do not, consider any of this negative campaigning. And I do believe as an unfunded, under reported, fed up average citizen and nothing more, I have extra latitude to be perhaps, slightly disrespectful in my approach.
The site "counter" on this site has been reset to zero PLUS (we've) added a timely YouTube churned out at campaign headquarters other night. It's called the Caine Mutiny for Brave Hearts Only. 13 hits as of this morning. OK..........all set. Good luck and god speed, steinforcongress.com 2/15/2012
We're for Universal Government Single Payer Health Care now. Two payment plans, pick our poison.
Option 1: Attack the underground economy, phase out cash. Develop an alternate method of economic exchange (a national debit card). Add one all-reaching 4% national sales tax, a zero income tax on the lower 90% of us and an increased income taxes on top 10%; a balanced budget amendment, zero corporate taxes and ... wallah; single payer, economic growth and debt reduction are ours.
Option 2: Keep cash. One national sales tax, zero income tax on the lower 90% of us, and an increased income tax on top 10%; zero corporate taxes. Economic growth, debt reduction but no Single Payer. Price controls on Health Care Insurance Companies. Study constitutionality.

LoBiondo vote ironic:
Now NJMP needs bailout
Letter to the editor, 3/17/2011
Recently, we learned the unfortunate news that the New Jersey
Motorsports Park in Millville faces bankruptcy reorganization.
There's a certain amount of irony for me when I remember that
U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo, R-2nd, hoped to get an earmark for the
raceway attached to President George W. Bush's emergency Troubled
Asset Relief Program initiative back in 2008. When the earmark was
not forthcoming, the congressman voted "no" to the bank
Funny and sad, but now it's the raceway that needs a bailout of
(Gary Stein ran as a Democrat against U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo in
the 2nd District congressional race in November.)
before that letter was published there was this from the editorial page editor
(Thursday, March 10th, 2011) I
don't see anything in our clips about LoBiondo seeking earmark for race
track. Show me some documentation and we will run the letter.
(a little while later, Thursday, March 10th, 2011) perskie said, "I'll get the letter in next week."
Almost $500,000 dollars is missing from the campaign account of
U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo, R-2nd. Had there been debates this year,
I might have been able to challenge the LoBiondo dogma of rigid
financial discipline as it relates to his uncompromising position
on the General Motors-Chrysler rescue, national health insurance
and the Troubled Asset Relief Program, to name a few.
Indeed, one of his campaign fliers said, "Attention, taxpayers:
If the Atlantic County Democrats win, they'll do what Obama-Pelosi
have done - bigger government, out of control spending, exploding
Now an expensive federal investigation of LoBiondo's campaign
account is under way.
As this humbling experience plays out for the congressman, may I
suggest he consider the old saying "people who live in glass houses
should not throw stones," the next time a complicated financial
issue comes up before the House members - and he refrain from
offensive insults of the other party. Compromise and cooperation,
not posturing, is what's needed in the new session starting
(Gary Stein was Rep. Frank LoBiondo's Democratic opponent in
the 2010 election.)
Takin LoBi to the woodshed. Spelling mistake (the word "relief") by Mike the Cable Guy, my production assistant.
"While I do not support the President's policy" Frank LoBiondo addressing an empty House Chamber concerning President George Bush's Troop Surge, one year before repeatedly praising the same policy at a candidate debate at Stockton College 2008- fooling everyone!
