Just discovered parts of debate #3, 2008 on YouTube. This years Democrat was an Independent in 2008.
Debate #1 held in a small church in Vineland. All participated, yours truly was terrible- having never spoken before any group, or talked into a mike.
Debate #2 Atlantic City Press and Philadelphia Inquirer debate between LoBiondo and Kurkowsky. Independents not invited. Frank LoBiondo misled the crowd, his opponent, and the 2nd district as to his position on the troop surge in 2007.
Debate #3 League of Women Voters Debate. Followed the AC Press debate by one night and was not covered, I don't believe in the AC Press Atlantic County edition, except on-line, and not before you had to follow several links. Question posed in YouTube below concerned George Bush's rescue of the financial system, TARP or what selected demagogues in Washington called the "bailout of Wall Street Executives" ...thankyou very much Mr. LoBiondo. My answer at minute 6:08. In 2008, I'd never heard of Glass-Steagall, derivatives or credit default swaps. I didn't know Mr. LoBiondo had voted to repeal Glass-Steagall in 1999, paving the way for the housing bubble that followed, and bore direct responsibility for the collapse. I answered the question correctly, as being supportive of the bailout, even though it wasn't popular. Something about leadership and making the tough decisions is what I think I'm getting at.
