LOBIONDO CONTINUES PUSH FOR CAMPAIGN FUNDING

Days after it was reported that Republican congressional candidate Frank LoBiondo had more than $361,000 to spend on the election - 20 times more than his opponent - LoBiondo supporters received a letter.

It said he still needed more money.

The letter read that victory was close, but the 2nd Congressional District candidate "must raise several thousand dollars more for the last 10 days of radio and cable TV."

LoBiondo explained Wednesday that the letter went out prior to his learning that Democrat Lou Magazzu has only $18,000 cash on hand for the campaign season.
